Are We Enviro-Responsible?

Dear Editor,

Us Parsis are an educated community but has anyone ever thought of how many kilos of wood is required every day to keep the fires burning in our Agiaries and Atash Behrams? I am not aware if any scheme is in effect for growing more trees to replace the ones cut, as also to counter the damage to the environment. If no scheme exists, then it is time we thought of growing trees in our vast lands at the various Dungarwadis and Aramgrahs all over India. Pardon my ignorance if any scheme is in existence.
