Dr. Jimmy Daruwalla Awarded Public Service Medal Posthumously by S’pore Govt.

In a recent public post, Dr. Jimmy S. Daruwalla’s son, Zubin Daruwalla, announced that his late father is being awarded the Public Service Medal by the Singapore Government, in recognition of founding the Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS) and being its President for the last 25 years. Fondly remembered by the DAS, Rotary Club of Raffles City (RCRC) and the Parsi community in Singapore for starting Singapore’s school health screening service for scoliosis, and being one of the pioneers in scoliosis surgery, Dr. Jimmy receives this award posthumously, in recognition of his selfless efforts throughout his life in Singapore.
