Muktads In Kanpur

The primary functional Agiary of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, the ‘Byramji Nowroji Javeri Dar-E-Meher’ in Kanpur, every year invites Behdin Pasbans, from Mumbai and Navsari, during the holy days of Muktad and Gathas to help offer religious prayers, in absence of Mobeds. Since 2013, the Behdin Pasbans have been devotedly taking care of the sacred Atash Padshah, coming to Kanpur in turns and staying for about two to three months, each. In this fifth year, the Parsis of Kanpur were extremely grateful to Marzban Wadia, who not only performed the ten day prayers for the Muktads single-handedly, but also performed the Gatha Jasans and the Navroze Jasan. The Parsis of Kanpur, are also immensely grateful to the conscientious and diligent Behdin Pasbans who stepped in to perform their duty during this time of need.
