Parsee Gymkhana Beat Fort Vijay In Talim Shield: Outstanding batting and bowling from Aakarshit Gomel (153*), Bravish Shetty (118), Suryakumar Yadav (70)’; and Raunaq Sharma (5-20) and Shivam Malhotra (3-35) helped defending champs Parsee Gymkhana win the Talim Shield by a massive 287 run victory against Fort Vijay. Batting first, Parsee Gymkhana put up a mammoth total of 433-4 in 45 overs. In reply, Fort Vijay collapsed for a paltry 146 in 22.4 overs.

 

FOOTBALL

Premier League Results: On 13th January Crystal Palace won 1-0 V/s Burnley, West Ham United thrashed Huddersfield Town 4-1, while Swansea City drew their game 1-1 with Newcastle United. Watford drew 2-2 with Southampton; West Bromwich Albion won 2-0 against Brighton and Hove Albion, Tottenham Hotspur defeated Everton 4-0. Next day AFC Bournemouth beat Arsenal 2-1 while Liverpool outplayed Manchester 4-3.

 

BADMINTON

Ponnappa-Reddy, Sai Praneeth Out Of Malaysia Masters: Indian shuttler B. Sai Praneeth was beaten by top seeded Viktor Axelsen from Denmark 17-21, 8-21. The Women’s Doubles Partnership between Ashwini Ponnappa and N. Sikki Reddy crashed out 15-21, 15-21 to Denmark’s Kamilla Rytter Juhl and Christina Pedersen.
