Dubai School Principal Nargish Khambatta Bags ‘GEMS Exceptional Head Of School Award’

Principal of Dubai based school, GEMS Modern Academy, Nargish Khambatta, recently won the first-ever ‘GEMS Exceptional Head of School Awards’, worth $75,000 on 4th February, 2018. Nominated by peers and chosen by a judging panel that recognise outstanding ‘Heads of Schools’ who have succeeded in providing high-quality learning opportunities for all students, Nargish was judged as the winner from within the GEMS school network in the UAE.

As one of the top five finalists of the GEMS Exceptional Head of School list, Khambatta was evaluated on the basis of responsiveness to needs and strengths of students from diverse linguistic, cultural, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds, while demonstrating innovative practices that engage and support all students. Nergish was recently quoted, stating, “This was a recognition of the wonderful work my team does for our children… Receiving the GEMS Exceptional Head of School Award was a symbolic recognition of every principal in GEMS Education who works selflessly for the future generation and for our staff.”
