Vasai Agiary Celebrates 19th Salgreh

The Manijeh Pirojsha Sachinwalla Dar-E-Meher, Vasai commemorated its 19th Salgreh on 9th November, 2018, with a Salgreh Jasan led by Er. Marazban Pavri and performed by Er. Jehangir Karkaria and Para-Mobed Behram Unwalla, at 10:00 am. Attended by over one hundred and fifty Zoroastrians, the jasan concluded with a Humbandagi, followed by devotees proceeding towards the adjacent compound for the salgreh program that witnessed BPP Chairman, Yazdi Desai and wife, Anahita Desai; Ex MLA, Vasai, Vivek Pandit and Bomi Sachinwalla urging the gathering to stand united in the fight against the MMRCL.

Vivek Pandit said that he will support the Parsi community to the best of his ability towards the cause of Saving the Atash Behrams. Yazdi Desai complimented Sachinwalla for the great job done on the Metro so far and expressed his happiness at seeing increasing number of Zarthosti youngsters this year as compared to previous years, when only senior citizens were seen attending the function. Anahita Desai re-stressed the point to support the appeal to re-align the Metro and said that if the community came together, they would succeed.

The event concluded with Dr. Firuza Pandey delivering the vote of thanks, followed by a sumptuous vegetarian lunch.
