LKPZA Holds Grand Annual Event

On 9th February, 2019, the Lonavala Khandala Parsi Zarthosti Anjuman (LKPZA) held its fun-filled gala Annual Event at the Adenwala Agiary compound, which was attended by over 200 guests. The program started with the rendition of the Indian National Anthem and the Zarthusti Anthem. This was followed by a fun game of Housie, post which LKPZA Trustee, Capt. Percy Master, warmly welcomed the gathering and thanked everyone for their continuous support to the Annual Anjuman event.

He thanked all the donors (including Dinamai Antia Charitable Trust, Celebrations Fine Connections, World Zoroastrian Organization Trust, Master Marine Services Pvt. Ltd., Casby Logistics Pvt. Ltd, Raj Shipping Agencies Ltd., Collabera, Meherab S. Nargolwala, Nergish And Sam Daruwala, Kainaz Associates, Seth Kearsasp Meherjibhoy, Zarine and Yazdi Daruvala, Hafeez and Pearl Contractor, Natasha and Rishad Lala, Maharukh and Khushroo Sarkari and The Zoroastrian Co-operative Bank Ltd.) for their generous donations which enabled the Anjuman to pay the annual school fees of several girl children’s education. He also thanked the Dinshaw Trust for the use of the compound.

The Anjuman felicitated Er. Zareer Tata, presenting him two sets of Jamo / Pichori, and praised him for his dedicated services to the fire temple. Capt. Percy Master informed the gathering how the Adenwala Agiary was unique, as it had two fires and a very interesting history behind them. This was followed by a live band performance by BRYNHILD band, belting old/new English and Hindi songs, wot which all the attendees danced with great enthusiasm till late in the evening.

The event ended on the happy note of cocktails and a sumptuous dinner.

The Anjuman provides finance and medical help to deserving locals. Finances totaling over Rs. 4 lakhs were disbursed during the year to beneficiaries at Khadiwala Orthopedic Hospital, Lady Hirabai Cowasjee Jehangir Health Unit, Samvad Trust, Nab Lions Home, The Bai A. F. Petit Girls Orphanage, Parsi General Hospital, Dinsi Desai and Fergus Misquitta, and Jal Minocher Mistry Memorial Foundation. The Anjuman also annually contributes to the Agiary Kathi fund.
