XYZ’s Rustom’s Rockstars Celebrate Ava Yazad Nu Parabh

Rustom’s Rockstars – the Bandra and Mahim group of XYZ Foundation – celebrated Ava Yazad nu Parabh on 24^th March, 2019, starting with a Humbandagi at the Bandra Tata Blocks Pavilion, followed by birthday celebrations and a beautiful guitar rendition by talented XYZ member, Danesh Jangalwala. Next, a book titled ‘Navjote and Sudreh Kushti – Golden Gifts’ – a translation and explanation of kushti prayers – written by Silloo Mehta was distributed. The highlight of the Funday was the outing to Bandstand to pay respects to Ava Yazad on Ava Mahino, Ava Roj. Following traditions, offerings of coconut, flowers, dal-ni-pori, Kunku, chawal, etc. were laid out during the prayers, but nothing was dropped in the sea, thus making the children aware to not pollute seas or seashores.

The next destination was a visit at the Cama Convalescence Home where the children regaled the senior residents with songs and shared dal-ni-pori. The day concluded with XYZs enjoying a surprise meal at Burger King.
