Obituary – Late Ervad Nariman Dalal
Ervad Nariman Pirojshaw Dalal, the Panthaki of Seth F N Patel Kadmi Agyari at Mazgaon since 1967, passed away on 10th September, 2019, (Roj Ashishwangh, Mah Aspandad YZ 1389). Having served the Agyari for over 50 years, Er. Nariman Dalal was a self-made man who gained great respect and position in the community by the dint of his sheer hard work, a large heart and charting his life and beliefs on the principles of goodness.
He was also a caterer of great repute – one of the topmost in our Community. A helpful, kind and charitable person, Er. Nariman is known to have not just fed hundreds of people gratis, but also known to cater at very nominal rates for deserving causes. Very recently he received much appreciation for organising and sponsoring the Nahānya jamārvānu (feeding the Mobeds) function with food specially cooked for them with ritual purity, on 18 June, 2019, in honour of the Māsisā or first month after-death prayers of Dasturji Kaekhushru Jamasp Asa.
He is survived by his wife Bakhtavar Dalal.
