Social Service Drive by XYZ Children
On 17th October, 2019, a bus filled with children from two of XYZ’s groups – ‘Rustom’s Rockstars’ and ‘Ketayun’s Conquerors’, visited the Sant Gadge Maharaj Dharamshala (Dadar) to ‘Make A Difference’ in the lives of needy people, by organizing dinner for approximately three hundred cancer patients undergoing cancer treatment at Tata Memorial Hospital, and their relatives (approximately 600+) stay in the Dharamshala.
The young XYZ samaritans also distributed chocolates (courtesy their parents) along with cupcakes and essential utility items to the children and patients. Multi-purpose school bags were distributed to approximately sixty children at the Dharamshala. All the kids were deeply touched through their interactions with the Dharamshala residents.
Pearl Kasad, President Nominee, Ketayun’s Conquerors, said, “I feel sad and wonder why God has given them pain, and us happiness. They also deserve to be happy. I pray that God showers his choicest blessings on them.” Hushrav Fitter, President Elect, Rustom’s Rockstars, said, “This was my fourth visit to Sant Gadge Maharaj Dharamshala. Each time, I realize how much we take things for granted. I’m blessed to be born in a good family and most importantly, to have good health. I realized we should not waste food.”
All the children expressed gratitude to XYZ for inculcating a sense of community service in them via opportunities to organize such events and Make A Difference in their own small ways.
