VLC is a free and open-source cross-platform media player that plays most multimedia files across the board. It is also a full-fledged audio player, with an equalizer and filters, playing all weird audio formats. It is free of ads, in-app purchases or spyware and the source code is available for free. It supports all formats including MKV, MP4, AVI, MOV, Ogg, FLAC, TS, and many more. All codes are included with no separate downloads. It supports subtitles, Teletext and Closed Captions. It also includes a widget for audio control, supports audio headsets control, cover art and a complete audio media library.
