An Auspicious Start To The Year End!

Dear Readers,

It’s indeed an auspicious entry into the last quarter of the year 2022 – with the 1st of October (Roj-Sarosh, Mah-Ardibehesht) marking the pious and blessed Salgrehs of three Atash Behrams – Pak Wadiaji Aatash Behram (Mumbai); Pak Mody Aatash Behram (Surat) and Pak Desai Aatash Behram (Navsari) – and also other Agiaries and Adaryan Sahebs, including Sir Shapoorji Bharucha Agiary (Bharuch, Gujarat) and the Sethna Agiary’s Adaryan Saheb (Mumbai).

As all these glorious places of worship will have been preparing to commemorate their respective Salgrehs with prayer ceremonies like Jashans and other religious activities, it is only warranted, especially for those able and living close by, to pay a visit as your mark of respect for the auspicious occasion and receive the blessings of the Padshah Sahebs. It would also be a great way to show your appreciation for the efforts and passion put in by our priests, who look forward to your presence.

Truly an excellent day to start, not just the month, but in keeping with the positive energies, even something new – be it a professional venture or a personal pursuit. And speaking of excellence when it comes to professional and personal achievements, we are delighted to share that the current reigning ‘Mrs. World International’, Yasmin Jal Mistry, was recently honoured with the recognition of ‘Top 10 Emerging Leaders Of 2022’ by the globally renowned brand-research and consulting firm – Heylin Spark, which celebrates individuals who have achieved excellence in their fields.

Those seeking inspiration need to look no further than Yasmin Mistry – a business-woman-turned industrialist, a fashion model and beauty icon, but more than all else, a true Zarthosti at heart who heads the ZTFI (Zoroastrian Trust Funds of India) one of our leading community-service organisations which has made a difference in the lives of thousands of our less-privileged Parsi / Irani brethren.

Here’s congratulating Yasmin Mistry on yet another fabulous achievement – may she continue to trailblaze her way through greater accomplishments and continue doing our community and our country proud! And here’s to you, dear readers – may the auspicious start to the year-end, accelerate your own successes and achievements!

Have a good weekend!

– Anahita

Dear Readers, One of the advantages of being an educated and (comparatively) progressive Community, is that we have strong opinions! But sometimes, so obsessed are we about voicing our own opinions, that we tend to blur the line between expressing our opinions and imposing these on others who don’t necessarily see eye-to-Your-Opinion’s-eye! Now, as…
