Father-Son Duo Secure Big Wins At National Bodybuilding And Fitness Championship 2022-23
The dynamic father-son duo – 52-year-old Jehangir Randeria and 23-year-old Kaiwan Randeria – continue their magnificent winning streak in the field of bodybuilding, this time scoring top places in the ‘3rd National Bodybuilding Competition & Fitness Championship 2022-23’, organised by ABAM (Amateur Bodybuilders Association of Maharashtra), on 8th and 9th of April, 2023, at Sanjay Bhokare Group of Institutes, Miraj, Sangli District, Maharashtra. While Jehangir won the Silver Medal in the ‘Bharat Masters’ category, Kaiwan snagged first place with the Gold Medal in the ‘Bharat Juniors’ category.
Over 250 participants from across 17 states participated in this national competition to secure wins in numerous categories including Bharat First Timers, Bharat Sub Juniors, Bharat Juniors, Bharat Seniors, Bharat Masters, Men’s Physique and Women’s Fitness. After the initial poses comparison, each contestant was given 90 seconds to showcase their body in a self-choreographed fashion, based on which winners were announced per category.
An entrepreneur in the automobile industry and the Founder of ‘Kamyo Car Spa’, Jehangir’s inspirational story comprises transforming from a typical food-loving Bawaji weighing 100 kgs to at the age of 44, when he started his fitness journey. His love for fitness drew him to competitive bodybuilding at age 48. Since then, he has won innumerable awards at the local, state and national levels. Speaking with Parsi Times, Jehangir shares words of inspiration, ““Your body is capable of achieving whatever your mind can think of. Pain is temporary, but the results are permanent if you are consistent. So, treat fitness like a journey – be disciplined, be consistent and you’ll definitely achieve your goal!”
“The early 20s are typically thought of as the time to establish the groundwork for one’s career, but it’s important to keep in mind that this is also the time to lay the groundwork for your long-term health. Devote some time each day to your health also, and it will pay you rich dividends later in life,” adds Kaiwan, a Bodybuilding Specialist and Sports Nutritionist, who, inspired by his father’s transformation, decided to join in and compete alongside Jehangir. The father-son duo has been growing from strength to strength with their accomplishments and wins in various bodybuilding and fitness competitions held across the nation.
