Fun-filled ‘Mela-vdo’ At Rustom Baug

The Senior Citizens Group of Rustom Baug, fondly known as the ‘Super Silvers’, with support from Rustom Baug Welfare Association and Sir Ness Wadia Memorial Pavilion, successfully organised the 6th annual charity ‘Mela-vdo’ on 19th November, 2017, at the Rustom Baug lawns. Commencing with a prayer and monajat by children of the colony’s prayer classes, followed by musical entertainment by the young and the ‘young at heart’, the event also witnessed the prize distribution of the art, prayer and elocution competitions, held in the colony every year. The ground was filled with innumerable senior citizens setting up their tables with tasty snacks, torans, decorative envelopes, vasanu, ready-made garments and other items for sale. The housie, raffle and lucky dips and kid’s amusement corner, together contributed in making this event a grand success. Kudos to the Senior Citizens who host this annual event with great enthusiasm and generate funds for the benefit of society.
