Don’t Miss NCPA’s International Jazz Festival!

NCPA is hosting its premiere International Jazz Festival featuring a medley of internationally renowned musicians from November 24th to 26th, 2017. Performances for the Fest kicked off yesterday with fab performances by ‘The Latination’, India’s only genuine Latin jazz band, and the ‘Kevin Davy Quintet’ from the UK, performing beautiful modal music of the classic Miles Davis band to a packed Tata Theatre, yesterday.

Today (25th November, 2017) at 7:00 pm, you can catch Italian jazz vocalist, Simona Molinari enthralling Ella Fitzgerald fans with ‘Loving Ella’ for the First Lady of jazz. Mauro Ottolini will be a special guest in her band. The Austrian Quintet Band, Worry Later, will perform musical magic with several brass instruments and play from their latest album Humpty Bump.

Tomorrow, on 26th November at 6:30 pm, the Greg Banaszak Quintet from the US will include Theron Brown on piano, Christopher Anderson on slide trombone, Gianluca Liberatore on upright bass and Aron Nyro on drums. A jam session will mark the fabulous finale of NCPA’s International Jazz Festival, where musicians from all participating bands will join in and play an impromptu set with improvised solos performed by the maestros! Jazz lovers just can’t miss this Jazz extravaganza!
