‘Know Your Mobed’ Session By Empowering Mobeds, XYZ

The teams of Empowering Mobeds and Xtremely Young Zoroastrians (XYZ) collaborated to create a religious session at the JB Vachha High School, Dadar (Behrams Battalions) and Bai Ava Bai Petit Girl’s High School, Bandra (Ketayuns Conquerors), simultaneously, on 2nd September, 2018. Dressed in scarves and topis, the sessions at Dadar were managed by Er. Kaizad Karkaria, Er. Khushroo Makihatana, Er. Firdaus Pavri and Er. Jehan Darbari. The sessions at Bandra were organised by Er. Sheherazad Pavri and Delphi Wadia. Commencing with a Humbandagi at 11:00 am, the children were enlightened about the ‘Empowering Mobeds’ initiative, followed by a ‘Queen Of Sheeba’ parody called ‘The Mobed Wants To Know’, which was an instant hit with the youth. The other activities included groups writing down words related to Zoroastrian History, culture, religion, tradition and practices, followed by word search, skits and demonstrations of the Kusti prayer and ritual. The event concluded with Malido and Papri catered by Er. Hormuz Dadachandji and Er. Kaizad Karkaria, and a show of gratitude to Benaifer Sahukar, Dinshaw Tamboly and the entire Team of Empowering Mobeds.
