ZAC Holds Ayathrem Gahambar

The Zoroastrian Association of California (ZAC) organised the ‘Ayathrem Gahambar’ at the ZAC Atash Kadeh, on 14th October, 2018. Attended by seventy-five Zoroastrians, the celebrations began with a Hama Anjuman Jasan sponsored by the Humbandagi group, and performed by Er. Zerkxis Bhandara, Er. Jal Birdy and Er. Minoo Katrak. Following the Humbandagi, Er. Zerkxis explained the importance of ‘Ayathrem’, which signifies cattle as the real wealth for the Indo-Europeans. He also expounded the significance of chashni and its relation to the ‘Baaj’ ritual. The celebrations concluded with lunch, courtesy Vira and Barjor Santoke, with ZAC volunteers.
