WGU Holds Exciting Annual Fund Raiser

The Women Graduates Union (WGU) held its Annual Fund Raising Program at the Garware Club, Wankhede Stadium in February 2019. Dr. (Ms.) Arnavaz M. Havewala, Vice President and Chairperson, Program and Fund-Raising Committee opened the evening’s program, by welcoming everybody, followed by a welcome song by three girls representing the NGA – ‘Apun Ka Club’. This was followed by felicitations of Chief Guest – Yezdi Desai; Guest of Honour – Anahita Desai; WGU President – Bina Thadani; and Past President – Havovi Gandhi. Yezdi Desai commended the role of women in society and appreciated WGU’s efforts in educating and empowering women, and went on to unveil the special souvenir. Dr. Arnavaz thanked the generous contributors, donors and sponsors.

The Entertainment program comprised dance performances by Hera Havewala; live band performance by MERAKI which had the audience on its feet; and a sumptuous dinner, which concluded the fab event.
