Grand Celebrations On Navsari Atashbehram’s 254th Salgreh
On the occasion of the 254th Anniversary of Atash Padsah of Navsari’s Pak AtashBehram, a Jashan was held at 9:30 am, under Vada Dasturji Raoji Maherji Rana along with Er. Homi Antya and Er. Freddy Palia, Trustee and Secretary, Er. Khurshed Homi Desai and twenty other Dasturjis. The place was packed with an attendance of over 200 devotees. A Machi was performed earlier at 7:00 am.
A ‘Sehri Ayojan’ or anniversary feast, catered by Khushroo Kasad, was held at the Sirvai Party Plot at the Dosibai Kotwal Parsi Orphanage, organized by the Atashbehram and the Vadi Dar-e-meher Trust, at 7:00 pm. The feast accommodated around 1200 guests in 5 pangats, under the special roof top constructed for this occasion in the Orphanage’s playground area. It was a warming sight to see generations of Zarthostis together – senior ladies and gentlemen intermingling and interacting with the youth through the evening.
