Ushta Te Foundation A’bad Felicitates Fab-Four!
On 5th December, 2019, Ahmedabad’s Ushta Te Foundation held a program to felicitate four lady achievers of Ahmedabad who had excelled in different fields, in line with the ‘She’s Mercedes’ initiative by Emerald Mercedes Motors, as an Inspirational Circle where women can connect and exchange ideas, share experiences and learn from each other. The event, aimed to serve as a platform to encourage and empower women to strive to greater heights of success, was held in the evening at the elegant Emerald Mercedes showroom in Ahmedabad. The four women who were awarded were Khushnam Avari, Delnaz Medora, Pervin Watchmaker and Pervin Variava.
At the recently held Mrs. India Worldwide 2019 by ‘Haut Monde’ in Greece, Khushnam Avari was crowned ‘Mrs. Inspiration’ from amongst 172 finalists from 15 countries. Khushunam was the only Parsi taking part in this pageant representing Gujarat.
Delnaz Medora has earned the title of being a super mom who besides running her family business, runs international marathons! Her passion for running marathons started in 2014 and by 2017 she had completed over 10 marathons. In February, 2019 she successfully completed one of the world’s toughest marathons – TCS New York Marathon 2019 – in record time.
Pervin Watchmaker has devoted three decades to the noble profession of teaching, as teacher and principal. She is also a certified Cambridge Examiner and presented the President Guide Award in 1983, by then President, Late Gyani Zail Singh. She is a member of the International Union of Educationist’s Forum and advisor to the Sports Academy Association of India.
Pervin Gandhi Variava holds a Ph.D in Management on the topic, ‘Information Content Impact of Dividend and Bonus Announcement on Shareholder’s Wealth Creation –The Indian perspective’, from Gujarat University. She has been invited to chair the research presentations in the Business and Finance track at Harvard University, Boston.
