‘Bawas Got Talent!’ And It’s Time To Flaunt It!!!

For a community known for its highly talented, quirky and obvious (and sometimes, inadvertent!) entertainment-value, the ‘Bawas Got Talent!’ Bonanza-of-a-Contest, comes as the perfect harbinger to kick off the brand-new decade!

Held under the aegis of the NCPA and Adi Marzban Endowment Trust, ‘Bawas Got Talent’ (BGT) is a Zoroastrians-Only, Mega Talent Extravaganza, which is geared to scout and prime the hidden talents and gems within our community, from across India. In what can only be summarized as, ‘The Best Looking for the Best’, BGT is championed and captained by a seasoned and fabulous Committee comprising exceptional actor and theater personality – Shernaz Patel, with her legendary parents – the inimitable Burjor and Ruby Patel, alongside accomplished connoisseurs like Sam Kerawalla, Meher Marfatia, Jasmin Siganporia, Jim Vimadalal and Hoshaang Gotla.

As this ‘baap-of-all-talent-shows’ gets set to rock the community, here’s your chance to become a part of what will surely go down in history as the Community’s grandest culmination and celebration of Zoroastrian talent in India!! ‘Bawas Got Talent’ invites ALL ZOROASTRIANS across the nation, Age – No Bar, to flaunt your talents in No More Than 4 Minutes, and compete across numerous categories inclusive of  Singing (Solo/Duet/Group/Choir); Dancing (Solo/Group); Instrumental (Solo/Band); Drama (Monologue/Group/Short plays); Stand-up Comedy/Slam; Poetry… and more! Participants will be segregated across four Age-Groups – ‘Under-15’; ‘16 to 25’; ‘26 to 60’ and ‘60-Plus’. (This will not apply to Groups events where participants could be a mix of all ages.) Winners will receive Cash Prizes, in each category.

And here’s the cherry on the cake – participants will be accorded accomplished mentors – all leading figures in their respective genres – who will provide invaluable inputs to groom and better your acts with their comprehensive experience and expert guidance!

With the last date for submitting entries fixed for 1st February, 2020, the Elimination Rounds will be held across the weekends (for the convenience participants) dated 15th, 16th, 22nd and 23rd February, at the NCPA, with the Grand Finale slated for the 4th of April, 2020 at the prestigious and grand, Tata Theatre.

When some of our community’s (and country’s) topmost talents and theater legends, as these greats, get together with the NCPA – the nation’s foremost organization known to celebrate the true essence of the Performing Arts, then the outcome becomes a lot more than a fantastic event… it births, or quite literally, sets the stage for a legacy that will further the glory of our community and be remembered with pride and gratitude by the oncoming generations!
