Anahita SubedarDear Readers,
As we enter the final days of the year before we herald in our Navu Varas, let’s pause for just a bit and take quick stock of the year gone by. Was it a good year for you? Don’t let this question send you into calculation mode. I’m not talking numbers and money and peer-comparisons. I’m asking – were you happy… for the most part? Did you smile often? Did you laugh lots? Were you, in turn, responsible for the laughs and smiles on the faces of your family and friends? Yes? Then you’ve had a good year!

Let’s bid a thankful goodbye to this year for all the things that happened, and didn’t! Gratitude is the ultimate attitude – it sets the stage for every positivity to enter our lives. And we have so much to be grateful for, in addition to being born into this fabulous community – good health, family wellbeing, career growth, safe travels and good friends.

Speaking of friends, it’s Friendship Day tomorrow. Life would be a drab and incomplete journey without true friends. Friends are our ‘family by choice’, our solid support structures. This weekend, let’s renew contact with old friends we lost touch with, and celebrate friendships with greater zest, because as Muhammad Ali said, “if you haven’t learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven’t learned anything!”

Have a happy, fun weekend!

Anahita
