Dear Readers,

Anahita SubedarWelcome to the New Year! Hope it’s started off with a lot of love and laughter for you all. On behalf of the PT team, I thank our readers for all the New Year greetings and for the extremely encouraging and generous feedback about our Bumper Special Issue that you shared with us over mail, messages and calls. We plan to continue and better our efforts to ensure providing you with the best content that informs and enriches.
It was lovely to see our Parsi folk last week on the 17th all over Mumbai, resplendent in the New Year celebrations. The tradition of exchanging our typical sweets – ‘boi’, ‘suterfeni’ and ‘jalebi’ – lives on strong, and the endearing part is, we share these with our non-Parsi friends, with as much love and enthusiasm, as we do our family and Bawa pals! We quite literally sweeten the milk of togetherness in cohabitation! We sincerely wish that this New Year, our community is blessed with New Babies, New Entrepreneurs and a Newer and stronger Resolve towards Unity and Happiness.
And speaking of wishes, next Monday, the 22nd of August marks Khordad Sal – the birthday of our beloved Prophet Zarthost. So, what is the best gift we can give our venerated, divinely messiah? What could mean as much or even more than offering Him our prayers and wishes? Maybe we could internalize His legacy and live our lives guided by His teachings and beliefs, simply summed up as:
• Humata, Hukhta, Hvarshta (Good Thoughts, Good Words, Good Deeds).
• There is only one path and that is the path of Truth.
• Do the right thing because it is the right thing to do.
Have a lovely, relaxed weekend and Khordad Sal Mubarak to all!

Anahita

  • A Shift In Time!

Dear Readers,   We’ve all heard about the phrase, ‘A stitch in time saves nine’. But like all things else, which need to adapt to the changing times, perhaps this phrase too needs to be improvised just a bit… more than the right ‘stitch’ or action, we need to inculcate and activate the right ‘shift’…

A Time To Reflect And Resurrect Across all religions, real learning for the laity always lies in the symbolism of various events and narratives mentioned in our religious texts.
