GBRWA’s All-Parsees Volleyball, Throwball And Sepak Tournament Concludes
The thrilling GBRWA’s (Godrej Baug Resident’s Welfare Association) All-Parsees sports event concluded on 12th December, 2021 (having commenced on 3rd December) at the Eco Park at Godrej Baug, which seemed to have come alive with much excitement after almost two years of silence, and saw participation and presence from children and adults.
The event was ably organised by the Youth Sports Sub-Committee led by Arzan Malegamwalla, Jehaan Darbari, Ashtad Deboo, Baeshaz Pastakia and Zavish Velati, alongside the Managing Committee. Farhad Irani, founder, skipper and mentor of the famous Volley Ball Team ‘Spikers’ was the Chief Guest of the evening, alongside other guests including Trustees of the BPP – Kersi Randeria, Noshir Dadrawalla and Viraf Mehta.
In addition to all the sporty action, the event saw numerous Parsis enjoying lip-smacking food and beverages. The organisers express gratitude to the members and residents of Godrej Baug, WZO Trust Fund, Della Adventure, Feroze Foods and Flavours, Caxton and Media Partner Parsi Times, as also prize-money sponsors. Overall, a fab event, which garnered great appreciation from all who participated and attended it!
