Salsette Parsi Colony Celebrates First Annual Day
On 13th May, 2023, Salsette Welfare Association (SWA) conducted its very first Annual Day function at Salsette Parsi Colony, showcasing the talent, unity and spirit of the colony resident. The evening comprised a spectacular array of entertainment, featuring diverse and impressive performances by adults and young tots, leaving the audience spellbound, with displays of gymnastics, karate and musical performances.
Solo singing by the seniors added the touch of nostalgia and grace. The lovely ladies of Salsette put up a dance performance, which was followed by the much anticipated ‘Mr. And Mrs. Salsette Contest’, which focused on the theme of understanding between couples and their bonds. A high-energy fashion-show by the trendsetting teens of the colony had the audience rapt, with their show of confidence, flair and panache.
Bollywood personalities Viraf Patel and Kurush Deboo, graced the occasion as the Chief Guests and also performed on stage, much to the delight of the audience. The fun eve concluded with a sumptuous, Parsi-style sit-down dinner catered by Bee’s Kitchen. SWA extends gratitude to all performers, sponsors, attendees, trustees of Salsette Parsi Association, the organising committee and volunteers, who worked tirelessly for two months to make this Inaugural Annual Day a huge success – a remarkable milestone in SWA’s activities.
