Three Cheers To Our Fab Four!
Dear Readers,
What a proud and inspirational start to the year to see our Parsis and Zarthostis being honored for their brilliant achievements globally and nationally! Hats off to our Mumbai’s very own Padma Shri Dr. Tehemton Udwadia for being conferred yet another prestigious, top civilian honour – The Padma Bhushan! The exceptional global achievements of our US-based Zarthostis, Dr. Huban Gowadia and Er. Dr. Bagli, fill our hearts with pride and joy. And back home in Mumbai again, animal activist and custodian of animal dignity and well-being, Roxanne Davur redeems and reinforces the essence of our community as a compassionate and caring one, with her felicitation.
Such collectively uplifting news couldn’t have possibly come in at a better time for our community, which seems to be increasingly lost, confused or divided on various issues, consumed with social-media warfare. Maybe this news will shake us into viewing the bigger picture and realigning our priority – as it should be, when you’re one of the smallest communities in the world on the brink of extinction – Unity.
So here’s three loud cheers to our fabulous four achievers for their exemplary accomplishments and for doing all us Zoroastrians very, very proud, but also, more importantly, for setting the right tone for the rest of 2017. Parsi Times looks forward to adorn its front pages with more such delightful news through the rest of the year!
