RPS Win A Thrilling Encounter V/s Mumbai Indians: Pune beat Mumbai Indians by 3 runs at the Wankhede Stadium. Batting first, RPS notched up a commendable 160-6 in their 20 overs, courtesy Rahul Tripathi (45) and Ajinkya Rahane (38). For MI, Karn Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah scalped 2 wickets each. In reply, MI managed 157-8 in 20 overs. Man of the Match was Ben Stokes.

Parsee Gymkhana Sails Into Finals Of 68th Salar Jung Community Invitation Cricket Tournament: An excellent effort by Aakarshit Gomel with the bat while Khizar Dafedar and Abhimanyu Vashishtha’s contributions with the ball helped Parsee Gym beat rivals Islam Gym and winning by 37 runs. Batting first, team Parsee Gymkhana managed a total of 167-5 in their 20 overs, courtesy Aakarshit Gomel’s class innings of an unbeaten 73 and skipper Raunaq Sharma’s valuable contribution of 24. For Islam Gym, Jay Dave picked 2 wickets. In reply, Islam Gym were bundled out for 130 in 19.5 overs as PG bowlers Khizar Dafedar picked 3-11 in his 3 overs spell while young Abhimanyu Vashishtha grabbed 2-8 in his 4 overs. This is Parsee Gymkhana’s maiden entry into the Salar Jung finals where they will now face team Souvenir.

Premier League Results: On 22nd April, AFC Bournemouth beat Middlesbrough 4-0, Hull City were on top of their game V/s Watford as they won 2-0, Swansea City outplayed rivals Stoke City 2-0 while West Ham United drew with Everton. The next day Manchester United won 2-0 with Burnley while Crystal Palace rose to the occasion and clinched a 2-1 victory against Liverpool. 25th April saw Chelsea outplay Southampton 4-2.

Pv Sindhu And Ajay Jayaram Advance To Round 2: Star shuttler and Rio Olympics silver medallist PV Sindhu beat rival Dinar Ayah Ayustine of Indonesia 21-8, 21-18 in 31 minutes and has moved into the second round of the Badminton Asia Championships in the women’s singles category. Ajay Jayaram defeated China’s Houwei Tian 21-18, 18-21, 21-19 and moves up the ladder in the men’s singles event.
