Shamiana’s Cyrus Dastur Turns Bollywood Producer

Cyrus Dastur, founder of the eminent SHAMIANA Short Film Club, is set to make his Bollywood debut as Producer, with his first Hindi flick, ‘Sweetie Desai Weds NRI’, releasing on 2nd June, 2017. Cyrus has co-produced this youthful musical comedy which will be released pan-India across 900 theatres next month! With songs by Atif Aslam, Arijit Singh, Arman Mallik and Palak Muchhal, the film’s music will be released next week and is expected to dominate the charts.

Speaking to Parsi Times, Cyrus says, “It’s been an exciting journey with this feature film. I look forward to making more films in the future. We’ve been producing short films actively, now it’s time to make features too.” ‘Sweetie Desai Weds NRI’ stars a few Parsis as well, with Himansh Kohli, Zoya Afroz, Darshan Jariwala, Kiran Joneja, Shreyas Porus Pardiwala, Adi Irani and Farzil Pardiwala; and is directed by Hasnain Hyderabadwala, with the co-producers Dhaval Patel, Sada Bhuvad and Tariq Mohammad.
