Godrej Wins ‘3rd Highest Fundraising Corporate’

The 105-strong team of Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd. who participated in the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon-2017 attained the objective of raising funds to support various NGOs such as Republican Sports Club, Vasantha Memorial Trust and War Wounded Foundation, on 15th January, 2017. The contribution, including Rs. 92,85,522/- plus the participation fees Rs. 18,50,000/-, totaling to a whopping Rs. 1,11,35,522/-, was equally donated amongst the three NGOs, through United Way of Mumbai. In recognition for their efforts, United Way of Mumbai, Procam International and Standard Chartered Bank, announced Godrej and Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd., as the ‘3rd Highest Fundraising Corporate’ of the 151 corporates that participated, and were awarded a trophy by Sudhir Mungantiwar (Minister of Finance, Planning and Forest Dept, Govt. of Maharashtra), at the Charity Awards night organized at Trident Hotel on 6th April, 2017. Godrej thanks all the individuals who contributed generously for this noble cause.
