Chomp And Cheers: With Murgh Shahenshahi, Super Easy Nutella Mousse And Woo Woo

Murgh Shahenshahi:

(Chicken Dish served to Royalty!)

Ingredients:

For The Marinade: 500 gm – Boneless Chicken (Thigh/Leg) Pieces; 2 tbsp – freshly ground Garlic paste; 2 tsp – freshly ground Ginger paste; 2 tbsp – Sour Curd; ½ – Onion chopped; 1 tsp – Cumin powder; 1.5 tsp red chilli powder; 2 tsp – Vinegar; 1 tsp – Coriander powder; Salt to taste.
For The Gravy: 6 – Tomatoes; 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder; 1 tsp finely chopped – Ginger; 1 finely chopped – Green Chilli; 3 tbsp – Fresh Cream; 1 tsp – Coriander powder; 1 tsp – cumin powder; 1 tsp – Jaggery; 2 tbsp – Butter; Salt to taste.

For Garnish: 2 tbsp – Fresh Cream; 2 Tbsp – Coriander leaves; 10-12 fried – Cashews.

Method:

Mix all the ingredients mentioned under Marinade (except the chicken pieces) into a paste. Add the chicken pieces, smear with the paste and keep it in the fridge for three hours. Blend tomatoes to a puree. Heat butter in a heavy bottomed pan, add the marinated chicken and cook till it is tender. In another saucepan, heat butter and add red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, ginger, salt and chopped green chilli. Fry the spices for five minutes. Add tomato puree and fresh cream and cook on medium flame till the puree thickens. Add the puree to the tender chicken along with jaggery and cream, letting it cook on low flame for 20 minutes. Garnish with fresh cream, brown-fried cashews and coriander leaves. Serve with hot steamed rice or rotis.

Super Easy Nutella Mousse:

(A 3-ingredient Dessert you can make in 5 minutes!)

Ingredients:

3 cups – Cream (full-fat); ½ cup – Sugar; 1 cup – Nutella (Almond flakes optional for topping).

Method:

Pour the full-fat cream into a large mixing bowl. Add sugar. Use a hand mixer to whip cream until stiff peaks form. Add Nutella into the bowl. Fold it together using a rubber spatula until all of the whipped cream is brown and loses its streaks. Scoop into serving dishes or use a piping bag if you want to make fancy designs. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Woo Woo

Ingredients:

25ml – Vodka; 25ml – Peach Schnapps; 50ml – Cranberry juice.

Method:

Mix the Vodka and Peach Schnapps first. Stir in the Cranberry juice. Add ice. Enjoy!
