BPP Athletes Shine At DPCG Annual Floodlit Athletic Meet

The Dadar Parsi Colony Gymkhana held their Annual Floodlit Athletic Meet on 28^th, 29^th, 30^th April, 2017, at their Gymkhana grounds. The meet witnessed Bombay Parsi Panchayat athletes sweeping off all the 3 Team Championships – ‘Men’, ‘Women’ and ‘Inter Club’. BPP athletes also made their mark as Individual Champions, especially, Tanya Vakil who won 7 Gold medals and broke 2 meet records, and was awarded ‘Individual Champion- Girls Under 14’, Zeshah Davar, the under-16 years ICSE Schools National Champion, competing in the under-18 year’s category created a new meet record of 8.50m with a 4 Kg putt; 3 year old, Rian Mistry won a Gold and a Silver medal in the Under-4 years category, Khushnaaz deboo won the ‘Girls Under 16 Individual Championship’, Zarastyn Mistry grabbed the ‘Women’s Individual Championship’, while Sherry Farog was presented the ‘Girls Under 10 Individual Championship’. BPP athletes created 7 new meet records including relays, thanks to the training they receive daily at Rustom Baug, Byculla, and this year, special emphasis has been put on training the very young, which bore fruit at the meet, with BPP having winners in all categories.
