India Reclaims ‘No. 1 ODI Ranking’, Thrashes Australia, Wins ODI Series: A great show by batsmen Rohit Sharma (125) and Ajinkya Rahane (61) helped India win the 5th ODI by 7 wickets. Batting first, Australia notched up 242-9 in 50 overs as opener David Warner top scored with 53 along with a 42 run contribution from Travis Head. For the hosts, Axar Patel was the pick of the bowlers scalping 3-38 in his 10 overs while Jasprit Bumrah picked up 2 wickets. India replied with a confident chase finishing with 243-3 in 42.5 overs. Kedar Jadav and Manish Pandey remained unbeaten on 5 and 11 respectively. For the Aussies, Adam Zampa picked 2 wickets. India thus reclaims its Number 1 ODI ranking.
