Kudos to Squadron Leader Minoo Wadia For Ensuring No Unrestricted Fly Zone Over Doongerwadi
The Airport Authority of India wrote to the BPP Board requesting to meet with them to discuss their request to lower the Limit of Flying over Doongerwadi, the BPP invited Saquadron Leader Minoo Wadia, Ex Indian Air Force and Air India pilot to this Meeting seeking his expertise and support. He brilliantly countered all technical points raised by the representatives from the Airport Authority of India who were trying to emphasize why it was essential for the BPP to give permission for lowering the limits of flying over Doongerwadi. He explained how the flight path could easily be directed to skip flying over the Tower of Silence. There was no way the BPP could have countered the Government representatives’ technical points without Squadron Leader Minoo Wadia, whose technical skills and phenomenal knowledge about International Airports’ traffic rules paved the way for seeking the desired alternative.
I salute you Squadron Leader Minoo Wadia, for your Valuable Service in protecting our Holy Doongerwadi Lands from overflights, and as a War Hero, just as you saved India during the 1965 & 1971 Wars as a Combat Fighter Pilot, of Great Distinction, you have now in your Civilian Life answered the call from our Parsi Community for the protection of our Holy Doongerwadi Lands from overflights.
Recently a private plane crashed at Ghatkopar – God forbid if the NO FLY BAN IS LIFTED, AND IF SUCH UNFORTUNATE INCIDENT WERE TO TAKE PLACE, OUR HOLY DOKHMA AT OUR DOONGERWADI WILL BE DESTROYED. NO AMOUNT OF MONEY WILL BE REPLACE THEM AS UNFORTUNATELY TODAY WE DO NOT HAVE DASTURS OF THAT HIGH SPIRITUAL CALIBER TO PERFORM THE HIGH LITURGY CEREMONIES THAT ARE NEEDED TO CONSECRATE THE NEW STRUCTURE.
You are a true Hero in your Civilian Life just as you were in your Military life, and you succeeded in convincing the Civil Aviation Authorities to continue to enforce the NO FLY ZONE on our Holy Doongerwadi lands.
You saved the day single handed for which PAK AHURA-MAZDA WILL SHOWER HIS HOLY BLESSINGS ON YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
