Metro III Project: Case Update
Parsi Times is glad to break news and provide the latest updates on the Metro III Tunnelling Project, that poses a strong threat to the structural and spiritual sanctity to two of our heritage, religious structures, the Anjuman Atash Behram and the Wadiaji Atash Behram.
In keeping with Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation’s (MMRCL) plea, the Bombay High Court has scheduled the next hearing on the Metro III project on Tuesday, the 17th of July, 2018. The hearing will witness both sides presenting their stand on the current scenario, with our community’s petitioners continuing to press with their earlier stand of shifting the Metro III line outside the premises of both the Atash Behrams.
Key petitioner, Jamshed Sukhadwala appeals to the community to be present at the hearing and stand in solidarity for the cause. “Community members are welcome to attend the hearing but are strictly required to observe discipline and abide by the court’s protocol.”
