UP Govt. To Spruce Up Parsi Cemetery

Uttar Pradesh’s government under Yogi Adityanath has decided to spruce up the Parsi cemetery in Mumfordganj (at Prayagraj) as it contains the grave of Feroze Jehangir Gandhi, grandfather of Congress Chief, Rahul Gandhi.

Confirming the move with the media, UP’s Minority Affairs Minister, Mohsin Raza expressed that Parsis too were a minority and hence this was part of the Government’s ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka-Vikas’ Policy. Kishore Varshneya, an old Congressman living close to the Parsi cemetery admitted that the graveyard, that holds approximately 50 Parsi graves, lacked upkeep.
