Parsee Gym Celebrates Jamshedi Navroze

Almost 800 members and their guests descended upon the Parsee Gymkhana lawns at Marine Lines on 21^st March, 2019, for the annual Jamshedi Navroz celebrations. Professional dancers Farida Rangoonwala and Rustom Dubash set the tone for the evening with their Ballroom and Latin American manoeuvres. The music of husband-wife duo, Michael and Sunita Noronha, set the packed 2,400 sq ft dance floor ablaze with tiny tots, youngsters and seniors swaying to eternal favourites such as Birdie dance, Viva Espana, El Bimbo and ABBA ditties, with Bollywood masala songs and the Zoroastrian anthem, ‘Chhaiyye Hume Zarthosti’, capping a festive and delightful evening. Guest artist, Jimmy Divecha’s saxophone performance proved to be the icing on the cake!
