Sai International Marathon in Shirdi

Sai Baba Sansthan Trust, Shirdi Mahanagar Palika, MTDC and Champ Endurance have joined hands to organise a first-of-its-kind ‘Sai International Marathon’ in Shirdi on 15th October this year, to commemorate the 100th year of the globally revered saint, Sai Baba, who took samadhi on 15th October, 1918.

At a press conference held earlier this month, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn – who would be flagging off the event, and is admittedly a firm believer in Baba, elucidated the importance of physical fitness, and reiterated the concept of spirituality through sport. The various categories in the event include 10k, 21k and 42k, besides a token 3k run. According to Shirdi Mayor, Yogita Shetke Patil, runners from the world over, renowned Indian sports people and Bollywood personalities are expected to participate.
