Wins Four Gold Medals In 2019!

Master shuttler, Darayus Surti, from Baroda, won the Gold Medal in the Mens Doubles Veterans (70+ age group) category at The Masters National Badminton Championship, which was held in Bangalore from the 11th to 17th of November, 2019. This is Darayus Surti’s 4th Gold Medal won in this year, with his earlier Gold wins at the National Masters Badminton Tournament, in Goa (February); the All India Masters Badminton Tournament in Ooty, (July); and the All India Masters Badminton Tournament in Goa (August).

A renowned badminton coach in Gujarat, Darayus had also represented India at the Senior World Masters Badminton Championship, held in Poland in August, 2019, marking the sixth time that he represented India at the event. Earlier, he has represented the nation in international championships across the world – in Malaysia (2004), Spain (2009), Turkey (2013), Sweden (2015) and Kerala (2017).
